The Effortlessly Family Friendly Castle
One big happy extended family
Augill castle's family friendliness is based on attitude rather than services and facilities: Like staying with friends in the country rather than in an overnight creche.
"It's the wonderfully informal atmosphere that makes it a real family hit."
The Guardian, April 2011
Young visitors to Augill are often adopted by each other and are whisked off to the ‘Drawing Room (stuffed with toys, games and dressing up paraphernalia), the playground, tennis court, the fort in the forest, the well loved treehouse, or the latest 'base' built somewhere secret.
Then there are the pigs, Ron, Harry & Hermione, goats, hens, ducks and turkeys to feed and Maisy the Spaniel to befriend.
"Wendy and Simon and their children Oliver and Emily do absolutely everything they can to ensure families feel at home. This is indeed a rare thing!"
Janey Lee Grace, author & Radio Two presenter, Spring 2011

We have cots, highchairs, baby listening, flexible eating options Family rooms all come equipped with a box of books, toys and essential baby & toddler supplies as well as nappy disposal units for younger visitors.
"We have been smiling non-stop for three days. Our tummies are full, our hearts are light and happy."
The Aarons Family, August 2009
