Simon's Blog - Life in a country castle
As a one-time journalist I have been asked time and again whether I am ever going to write a book about our experiences at Augill.
The truth is, a lot of the most memorable incidents and stories will probably never be seen in print but here are a few anecdotes that give you a flavour of what family life in a castle in Cumbria is all about.
These pages are for my mum who died on 2 February 2009. Without her none of what we have achieved at the castle would have been possible and she always loved my stories.
